Cheesey Dog Treats

Yesterday was Rocco's 4th birthday and I made a batch of treats to celebrate.

Makes 4 to 5 dozen (depending on size and thickness)
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups  wheat flour
1 cup (135 grams) rolled oats
1/2 cup cornmeal
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup shredded parmesan, or similar cheese
2 eggs
3/4 cup water or chicken broth

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all of the dry ingredients. Stir in the wet ingredients until thoroughly combined.  Add more water/broth if too dry. Roll out small batches of the dough to about 3/8 of an inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut shapes. Place cookies about a 1/2-inch apart (they will not spread very much) on a a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or Silpat mats. Bake for 12 to 17 minutes, until firm and the edges are golden brown.

The hubs tried them and said they tasted like a Cheese-it.

Luck of the Irish

Luck of the Irish
We all have seen that emerald is the Pantone color of the year.  I saw an ad for the DKNY  Saffiano Large Zip tote and I think I may have to agree.  I'm thinking about adding an emerald bag to my collection.  I'm a KSNY kind of a girl, but may opt for a new brand this time around

Addiction is growing

Addiction is growing

I bought another pair of cowgirl boots when I was in Austin at Allens Boots.  I could not resist these hand stitched pair of Tony Lamas.  They even have floral hand tooled soles. Of course, I thought they were a steal at $199, but I found them cheaper on-line.  Note to self - do not compare prices after making a purchase that would be a pain to return.

p.s.  I'm already looking into places where the hubs can take me two-stepping.

I told the hubs he has to take me back to Austin.  The food scene is amazing, there are so many great places to nosh.  It is foodie heaven!  The shopping on South Congress was great and I bought some boots from Allens Boots.  It was a madhouse on Saturday, so glad I went back Monday before heading to the airport and found a floral pair add to my collection.   I must say that we ate and laughed our way across town.  It was truly a wonderful girls get-a-way.  I'm missing my girlfriends and I look forward to our next trip.
