Wine fest

Wine fest
The hubs and I went to a local wine festival with our neighbors.  I even had a compliment on my jacks while I sampling some white wine.  I ended up drinking 2 glasses of sangria while browsing the vendors booths.  I bought 2 photographs and no wine.  Oh well, it is close enough to visit when I need some more vino.

Hi and low

Hi and low
I like wearing a high neckline with a low boot.  Cowboy boots are perfect in warmer weather.   Go on, try on a pair and see if you end up with a few pairs in your closet.

Call me, maybe?

Call me, maybe?

I'm currently an android user and I have no issues with my phone.   I must say that I do look at all the fun cases out there for the iphone and I feel a pang of jealousy.

Sandal Savvy

Sandal Savvy
I need something for wandering around the islands when we go on our cruise next month.  I love my flip flops, but I want to dress it up a bit.  What is your fav for traveling?

Thrifty trends

Some trends I avoid and others I embrace with abandon.  Neon & neutral has me intrigued.   I have decided that this is one that I will keep on the thrifty side.  I'm not going to break the bank just to wear one season.  I ordered these online, on sale, free shipping and through ebates for some extra cash back.
Canvas-Strap Mid-Wedges
This bracelet from Tory Burch is the perfect balance.  I do not want to look like I'm trying to recreate the 80's!
Woven rope bracelet
I think this dress is super cute.  It may be perfect for the cruise.

Color block dress
I hope y'all have a wonderful Easter.  We are hosting, so I doubt I will have to time blog this weekend.

Thanks to Old Navy, Tory Burch & Piperlime for photos.

Fashion quirk

Sneakers are for exercising

Sneakers are for exercising by blondegigi featuring small heels

I must admit that I have a quirk when it comes to wearing jeans.   I can't for the life of me wear running shoes/sneakers when I have on a pair.  I have a closet full of flips flops,  Uggs, boots and flats that all make it onto my feet, but not my New Balance.  I can't even put on sneaks to take the pups out.    Is it just me or do y'all have a fashion quirk too?

Want vs. Reality

Wildflower Caftan Tory Burch $225                           Tunic Bag Lady Amazon $32.99
Wildflower Bikini  Tory Burch $250                            Paisley/Zebra Xihilaration $29.89

Our cruise is not until May, but I'm already dreaming about revving up my wardrobe.  Here are a few examples of my wants vs. what will end up being packed in my suit case.  Ah.... a girl can dream.

I must admit, the Target bikini is growing on me.

Packing up for NOLA

Packing up for NOLA

I should be riffling through my closet getting ready for our belated anniversary trip to New Orleans instead of playing on polyvore.  I can't wait to experience the city as an adult.   Above is a few of the outfits I plan on packing for our trip.   I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I'll see you when I get back.  (I hope I'll be able to fit in my skinny jeans after all the eating I plan on doing!)

Trash & Lash

So, I was catching up on a blog that I follow the other day and I was shocked at how this blogger was trashing people for wearing Tory Burch or carrying a Coach or Vera Bradley purse.   Really?  You've got to be kidding me.  Normally I'm not one to carry a purse more than one season.  It has to be AMAZING for me to hold onto it.  I finally bought a few VB so I can use it and give away without spending a great deal of money.  My niece loves my purse addiction - she has been given many a bag from my Coach phase.   And the Reva ballet flats, I plan on those lasting  me many years.   She also digs on people that dress like "fashion bloggers"and do not know how to be themselves.  I was so taken aback that I stopped following her.    Bless her heart is all I can say!

Still shopping for a cause

I don't know about you, but I am highly likely to purchase something if the proceeds go to a great cause.   On Tuesday, I ordered the Tory Burch & Rue La La  for Japan Relief shirt and was thrilled to see that Kate Spade would be offering a tote for Japan.  I found this out via being a fan of Kate Spade on facebook and like many others, I had fb open for a few days waiting for the link to the pre-sale.   Boy, some of the comments on fb were crazy and mean.  I think a few are trying to score a great deal and forgetting the tragic reason behind the product.   There is a  limit of four shirts on Rue La La, which I think is a smart idea ensuring that more people have a chance to order one.   I saw a posting on fb that someone bought 30 of the totes.   That is ridiculous!  If you are that gung-ho to help Japan, please make a straight donation.

Kate Spade Support Japan Tote
I guess I am one of the few lucky ones,  I ordered mine without any problems.  It appears they sold out quickly, not surprising given the feedback on fb.  Kate Spade posted that they will be trying to get more shipped out to stores for sale.   I feel for the folks at Kate Spade just trying to do some good,  I feel even more for the people of  Japan.

p.s.  I have the Marimekko® tote for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.  Another great cause!

Thank you to Rue La La and Kate Spade facebook for use of their photos.
